ORACLE TEAM USA has two races scheduled Emirates Team New Zealand today, beginning at 1412 local time (1:12pm ET).

"Backs against the wall"

"One race at a time"

"No room for error"

With ORACLE TEAM USA down on the scoreboard 6-1 and facing match point, all the cliches are coming out.

But to a certain extent they are true.

As skipper Jimmy Spithill put it yesterday, "We don't have to win all six races at once. We need to win one race. And then another."

The team is taking strength from having been in this position before, down 8-1 to Team New Zealand in 2013, Spithill and his team manufactured one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history, winning 8 consecutive races to take the America's Cup 9-8.

Is another comeback possible? One race at a time, one race at a time.

1130: Our starting six for today:

Skipper / Helmsman -- Jimmy Spithill
Wing Trimmer -- Kyle Langford
Tactician / Grinder -- Tom Slingsby
Grinder -- Louis Sinclair
Grinder – Kinley Fowler
Grinder -- Ky Hurst

1120: The team is just returning from its morning tune up sail. Wind still in the 10 knot range. The forecast is for it to ease. ORACLE TEAM USA is set up with light wind boards today, moded for wind in the 6 to 8 knot range.

0900:
The forecast is for a dying breeze over the course of the day, potentially to marginal racing conditions near 6 knots. At the moment however, there is plenty of wind on the Great Sound.
